MSMEs should be linked to business portal: Scindia
Bhopal: Industries Minister Smt. Yashodhara Raje Scindia has said that micro, small and medium enterprises need to be linked to business portal to give fillip to them. Smt. Scindia gave this suggestion at a meeting of Industries Ministers on e-commerce in New Delhi today. The meeting was chaired by Union Minister of State for Industries (Independent Charge) Smt. Nirmala Sitaraman.
Smt. Scindia suggested to strengthen B to B through e-commerce. The Minister said that name of seller must be displayed on products sold through websites. Seller should also bear responsibility of packaging and distribution. Through e-commerce, a seller can reach out his products to maximum number of people.
Smt. Scindia said that decision of Government of India to brining e-commerce under the ambit of Consumer Protection Act through amendment in it will improve the situation and consumers’ satisfaction will increase.
