My life become successful and being Chief Minister is meaningful by making plan for my sisters: CM Chouhan

Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan told the sisters at the Ladli Bahna Mahasammelan in Ratlam today that my life has been successful and becoming the Chief Minister has been meaningful by making the Mukhya Mantri Ladli Bahna Yojana. I have been sensitive towards daughters and sisters since childhood. To prevent injustice towards daughters, I first made Ladli Laxmi Yojana, whose successful implementation made the girl child a boon from earlier a curse in the state. Now, this scheme that stems from my heart will make my sisters self-dependent and empower them socially as well. The CM said that together we will bring a new era in the state, where everyone is happy and no one has tears in their eyes. May there be happiness and smiles on everyone’s faces. Brothers and sisters should walk together and develop the state. The happiness of sisters is the aim of my life. I will live for you and if need be, I will die for you too.

Chief Minister Chouhan participated in Ladli Bahna Mahasammelan and dedication-Bhoomi Poojan programme of development works at Polo Ground Ratlam today. He performed bhoomi-pujan-inauguration of development works worth Rs. 1374 crore from the stage itself. Along with this, he distributed benefits to the beneficiaries under various public welfare schemes. The Chief Minister released the development booklet of Ratlam district and also inspected the development exhibition put up by various departments at the venue.

Chief Minister Chouhan said that social, political and economic empowerment of daughters is taking place in Madhya Pradesh. Earlier the daughter was considered a burden. I thought that if a lakhpati daughter is born, she will not be considered a burden and Ladli Laxmi Yojana was formulated in the state. Today there are 44 lakh 50 thousand Ladli Laxmis in the state. At the time of birth, the government gives a savings certificate of 30 thousand rupees to the daughters. Girls are given 2 thousand in 6th class, 4 thousand in 9th class, 6 thousand in 11th class, 6 thousand in 12th class and one lakh rupees on completion of 21 years of age in lumpsum. When daughters go to study in college, they are given Rs 12 thousand 500 and after completing their degree, they are again given Rs 12 thousand 500. Mama Shivraj is also getting the fees of these daughters filled for admission in engineering and medical. CM Shri Chouhan said that earlier the sex ratio in the state was 900 daughters per 1000 sons, which has now increased to 956. Our entire effort is to have a sex ratio of 1000 sons to 1000 daughters.

Chief Minister Chouhan said that political empowerment of sisters has been done in the state. Today my sisters are ruling. 50 percent reservation has been given to sisters in panchayat and urban body elections. Even in teacher recruitment, 50 percent seats are reserved for women. 30 percent seats were reserved for sisters in the police. The stamp duty for the registry for brothers is 3 per cent, whereas for sisters the stamp duty has been kept at only 1 per cent. With this provision, houses, shops and fields are now being purchased in the names of our sisters.

Chief Minister Chouhan said that now Mukhya Mantri Ladli Bahna Yojana has been made for economic empowerment of poor and lower middle class sisters. 1000 per month will be given in the account of each eligible sister under the scheme. Forms are being filled in the scheme till April 30. The forms will be scrutinized in the month of May and money will start coming into the sisters’ accounts from June 10. CM Shri Chouhan said that even if the form of any sister is not filled by April 30, she should not worry, the date will be extended. Every eligible sister will get the benefit of the scheme. Every sister should have a bank account to take advantage of the scheme. He instructed the Collector that the work of opening bank accounts of the sisters of the district who do not have bank accounts should be done immediately. CM Chouhan said that no one should dare to demand even a penny from the sisters for giving the benefits of the scheme, otherwise he would be handcuffed and sent to jail.

Chief Minister Chouhan said that many public welfare schemes like Sambal, distribution of laptops to meritorious students, special dietary allowance to Sahariya, Baiga, Bharia tribes etc. were stopped by the previous government. We have restarted all these schemes. Our government is also paying the interest amount of the farmers who became defaulters due to the false announcement of loan waiver. The state government has brought the Mukhya Mantri Kaushal Kamai Yojana for the youth, in which they will learn work and earn as well. Mukhya Mantri Awasiya Bhu Adhikar Yojana has been made to provide a place to live to the poor. Under this scheme, 2500 land title deeds are being distributed today. Residential leases are also being given in the cities. Old illegal colonies are being legalised. The government is also laying moral stress on liquor prohibition in the state. All liquor ahatas have been closed in the state from April 1.

Chief Minister Chouhan said that no stone will be left unturned in the development of Ratlam region. He said that to solve the water problem in Ratlam district, Narmada pipeline is being brought up to Badnavar, it will be extended up to Ratlam. All the empty ponds of Ratlam will be filled.

MP Guman Singh Damor and MLA Chaitanya Kashyap also addressed. People’s representatives, officers and a large number of sisters and citizens were present including MP Shri Anil Ferozia.

1. The programme was inaugurated by Chief Minister Chouhan with Kanya Pujan and lighting of the lamp. The sisters welcomed the Chief Minister Chouhan by presenting tribal bow and arrows and Anga Vastra. The sisters presented 121 feet long rakhi, thank you letter, congratulatory letter and Theva art work to Chief Minister Chouhan. The Chief Minister greeted the sisters by singing the song “Phoolon Ka Taron Ka Sabka Kehna Hai, Ek Hazaaron Mein Meri Behna Hai”. In the programme, a large number of sisters were carrying placards in their hands expressing their thanks to their brother Shivraj for the Mukhya Mantri Ladli Bahna Yojana. It was written on them “Shivraj Bhaiya Ka Hai Kehna-Sashakt To Ladli Bahna” and “Shivraj Bhaiya Ki Nai Saugat- Aadhi Aabadi Rahe Khushal.”
