Pandit Nehru’s contribution is important in rebuilding of country : Governor

Bhopal: Addressing a function on Children’s Day at Raj Bhavan here today, Governor Shri Ram Naresh Yadav has said that country’s first Prime Minister late Shri Jawaharlal Nehru’s contribution in India’s development and rebuilding was major and important. The function was organised by Madhya Pradesh Children’s Welfare Council.
Governor Shri Yadav said that Pandit Nehru loved children very much. He always had a rose tugged in his Sherwani. Pandit Nehru used to say that he wanted to see faces of country’s children fresh as rose flower.
Governor Shri Yadav exhorted children to study hard and brighten name of the country to realise dreams of Chacha Nehru. He asked children to imbibe values of Indian traditions, honesty, dedication, impartiality and truth.
On the occasion, the tiny-tots also presented cultural programmes focusing on patriotism. The Governor gave away Rs. 2 thousand prize to Ku. Aliba Khan for her passionate speech. Governor Shri Yadav also gave away gifts to children. Madhya Pradesh Children’s Welfare Council joint secretary Shri Somesh Dayal Sharma threw light on the council’s activities. Shri Yogendranath Kaushal proposed a vote of thanks.
