Keeping in mind consumer convenience, the central region power distributor now allows electricity users in the state capital to pay their monthly bills using credit and debit cards, as well as QR codes.F
or consumers opting to pay via card, POS (Point of Sale) machines have been installed at all electricity distribution/zonal offices.
Consumers can choose to pay using cash, UPI, or cards, making the payment process even more convenient.
After making the payment, it is important to check the details provided on the receipt, such as the consumer number, payment amount, date, and payment mode, and keep the receipt for future reference.
This way, consumers can ensure that their bills are paid on time, avoiding any action for electricity disconnection.
Additionally, the company is now allowing consumers to pay their bills using QR codes during spot billing at their premises.
The meter reader will provide a bill that also includes a printed QR code. You can scan this QR code using your phone’s UPI app (PhonePe, Google Pay, Paytm, etc.) to pay your electricity bill. Consumers need to ensure that when scanning the QR code, the screen shows “MPMKVVCL” and the UPI ID paytm-80801941@ptys.
The quick transfer methods will help consumers avoid the inconvenience of going to an electricity office to pay their bills and also help prevent disconnections.
