Power supply duration is increased in various areas

BHOPAL: The government is making constant efforts to reduce technical and commercial losses in electrical supply on various levels like districts and tahasil headquarters and Nagar Panchayats, for this checking campaign, repair of lines and transformers and reduction in transmission losses has been done in corresponding districts. In last year about 40% losses were there in about 27 district and tahasil headquarters and Nagar Panchayats. The power supply duration can be increased if these losses came down to 20%.

In some district headquarters like Burhanpur, Khandwa, Mandsaur, Neemuch, Barwani, Alirajpur and Jhabua 24 hour’s powers upply has been supplied by Western Region Power Distribution Company. In tehsil headqarters Jawad, Nepanagar and Rajgarh power supply has been increased fronm 16 hours to 20 hours. Eastern Region Power Distribution Company is supplying power for 22 hours at district headquarters Balaghat and Chhindwara and tahasil headquarters Pandhurna and Saunsar, 20 hours at tahasil headquarters Lakhnadon, Devendra Nagar, Churhat, Birsinghpur Pali, Nagod and Shahpur (Jabalpur district), 24 hours at Khajuraho and 20 hours at Budhar Nagar Panchayat.

The Central Region Power Distribution Company is supplying power for 24 hours at Betul district headquarters, 18 hours at Mungawali tahasil, 20 hours in Multai tahasil and 18 hours at Pipariya tahasil.
