Prakash Parv celebrated at CM’s residence
Bhopal: Prakash Parv was celebrated with devotion at Chief Minister’s residence here today. On the occasion, Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan announced that a special train under Mukhyamantri Tirth-Darshan Yojana will be sent from Madhya Pradesh to Sikh pilgrimage Harmandir Saheb. Film “Char Sahebzade” produced on the sacrifice of sons of Guru Govind Saheb will be exempted from tax.
Addressing Sikh Sangat, the Chief Minister said that Guru Nanak’s teachings are unique. He introduced people to real religion which is devoid of any show-off and discrimination and carries message of equality. Shri Chouhan said that he himself is a Sikh of Guru Nanak. His teachings are being followed by Madhya Pradesh government. Ladli Laxmi and other schemes have been chalked out in this context. He said that Guru Nanak taught to work with honesty and help the needy. His followers remain in the forefront when it comes to defence of country’s borders, industry and business and help to the needy in times of accidents. Shri Chouhan said that God dwells where there is cleanliness. Divine bliss is experienced. He urged Sikh Sangat to cooperate in Prime Minister’s Swachchhata Abhiyan.
Public Works Minister Shri Sartaj Sigh threw light on glorious history of Sikh community. Former Minister Shri Harendrajeet Singh Babboo while extending greetings of Guru Nanak Jayanti, said that Sikh community’s contribution is significant in state’s development. Gyani Joginder Singh of Gurudwara Patna Saheb read out Guru Wachan. The programme was conducted by Gyani Dilip Singh.
Former Chief Minister Shri Kailash Joshi, Health & Family Welfare Dr. Narottam Mishra, MP Shri Alok Sanjar, Mayor Smt. Krishna Gaur and representatives of Buddhism, Christianity and Islam were specially present on the occasion.
