Public Meetings to be held in Each Ward, Development Schemes will be Reviewed: CM
Bhopal. Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan inaugurated state wide Nagar Uday Abhiyan here today. This campaign will be conducted from December 25 to February 5 in three phases. Shri Chouhan performed bhoomi poojan of 2.2. kilometer long smart road from local Bharat Mata square to Polytechnic square and gave directives to complete the construct the orad within next 9 months.
Moreover, Shri Chouhan flagged off Nagar Uday Abhiyan Raths and 51 E-Rickshaws. He also inaugurated the P.O.S. machine facility provided by the Municipal corporation to pay property tax etc.
Shri Chouhan mentioned that public meetings will be organized in each ward under the Nagar Uday Abhiyan. Review of public welfare schemes and urban welfare schemes will be made holding discussions with the citizens. Suggestions from the citizens will be called and a list of beneficiaries will be prepared.
Moreover, Shri Chouhan said that this government is the people’s government in real sense. Urban development works worth Rs. 83 thousand crore will be approved in the state. He stated that the work of the smart city in Bhopal is being started with the inauguration of this smart road. This is a good indication. CM Shri Chouhan mentioned that amount will be provided to all the cities under the Mukhyamantri Infrastructure Development scheme and a sum of Rs. 100 crore will be provided to Bhopal.
Shri Chouhan urged all the MLAs, Chairmen of Urban Bodies and Corporators to provide leadership with enthusiasm to the Nagar Uday Abhiyan. He further said that negligence will not be tolerated towards urban welfare works and culprits will not be spared at any cost. Under this campaign, benefits of Union and Sate Government’s schemes will be provided to the beneficiaries. Benefit distribution programme will be organized at the same time in the entire state.
Shri Chouhan said that he will conduct surprise inspection during Nagar Uday Abhiyan and will take stern action against culprits. He mentioned that every nook and corner of Bhopal should be cleaned. Whether it is hospital or a public place. Vigilance will be maintained over sanitation through participation of citizens. Negligence will not be tolerated. Also deliberations will be made during the campaign to increase livelihood of domestic helps, hand cart owners, barbers, vegetable vendors and labourers etc.
Minister for Revenue Shri Umashankar Gupta said that working culture of the government is changed. Now the state government is itself going to the beneficiaries. Rural families were benefited earlier under the Gram Uday Abhiyan. This is the people’s government he added.
Mayor Bhopal Shri Alok Sharma in his welcome speech said that benefit of all the state and union government welfare schemes will be provided to beneficiaries during the campaign. Raths to publicise schemes of the government will reach every ward. List of new beneficiaries will be prepared. Review will be made with holding discussions citizens. Teams of officers have been made for this to approach citizens during the campaign. Hawkers corners will be made in every ward. He said that unemployed youths are linked to the employment by E-Rickshaws.
