Quota of salt and sugar under PDS for January allotted

Bhopal: Quota of one crore 11 lakh 83 thousand 300 kg sugar and one crore 8 lakh 73 thousand 662 kg salt has been allotted for targeted public distribution system under Mukhyamantri Annapurna Yojana in the state for January.

Salt and sugar have been allotted fair price shop-wise. Information about the allotment has also been uploaded on Samagra portal http:/nfsa.samagra.gov.in. Each of Antyodaya Anna Yojana and priority families will get one kg sugar at the rate of Rs. 13 and 50 paise per kg. Salt and sugar are being provided to one crore 17 lakh 969 eligible families. Food and Civil Supplies Department has directed to lift the quota from supply centres of State Civil Supplies Corporation and distribute to fair price shops.

Wheat allotted to hostels of reserved classes: Wheat weighing 3,115 MT at the rate of 12 kg 500 grams per student has been released to hostels of SC, ST and backward classes in the state. Directives have been given to provide wheat to these hostels at the rate of Re. one per kg. Instructions have been given to lift quota for October, November and December positively by December 31. Remaining allotment for January, February and March 2015 may be lifted on the first of every month.
