R. Parasuram appointed as the new Chief Secretary of state

BHOPAL: The Madhya Pradesh government on Monday appointed R. Parasuram as the new Chief Secretary. The order in this regard was issued by General Administration Department.

He will be the 28th Chief Secretary of the state. He was performing special duties in the office of Chief Secretary since March 9, 2012.

R. Parasuram was born in Madhya Pradesh on March 24, 1953 and an IAS officer of 1978 batch. He has done his graduation in electrical engineering.

After his selection to IAS he has performed duties on important postings. He was the collector of Sidhi in 1983, collector Satna in 1984 and collector Bastar in 1986. He also performed duties in the Union Textiles Ministry from 1988-1992.

Apart from this R. Parasuram served the state right through his career on various important positions and helps in the development of the state.

He represented Government of India at Rome-based three important agriculture-related institutions of United Nations Organisation as well as World Food and Agriculture Organisation, International Fund for Agriculture Development and World Food Programms.
