‘Sale-purchase’ shows BJP’s character: Cong

The Congress on Sunday slammed the BJP for “sale-purchase” of Councilors for gaining power in civic bodies in Chhattisgarh.

The BJP succeeded in getting elected its candidates in Baikunthpur and Charcha municipalities by wooing councilors and is trying to adopt the same tactics in a few others, PCC’s Communication Wing chief Sushil Anand Shukla said.

Even after being discarded by the people, the BJP’s attempt in getting their leaders elected for the Chairman and Vice Chairman posts is condemnable, Shukla said.

With this, the real face of the BJP has again come to the fore and its claim of being a party with ‘Chal and Charitra’ was exposed, the Congress leader said.
