Schemes for every section of society implemented

Bhopal: Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that state government is working towards achieving goals of service to the downtrodden and welfare of the poor. He said that the government has chalked out welfare schemes for all sections of society and is implementing them effectively. Shri Chouhan inaugurated newly constructed composite collectorate building and Antyodaya Mela at Anuppur today. The Chief Minister also participated in inauguration and foundation laying functions and Kanya Poojan.

Shri Chouhan said that state government will not hesitate in initiating necessary measures to ensure public welfare. He appealed to people to become partners in making Madhya Pradesh a pioneer state in the country. Referring to tribal welfare schemes, Shri Chouhan said that medical and engineering colleges will be opened at Shahdol. This will enhance educational venues for tribal students and their fees will also be paid by the state government. The Chief Minister said that state government has decided to open English medium schools in every block. He said that scholarships, free uniforms, books etc. are being provided to students. Besides, state government will also pay the fees of tribal students taking admission in medical and engineering colleges. The Chief Minister said that government has decided that if tribal students fail to find accommodation in hostels, they can rent a private building at government cost.

Rs. 20.21 crore works inaugurated: During his Anuppur visit, Chief Minister Shri Chouhan inaugurated works costing Rs. 20 crore 21 lakh and laid foundation stones for construction works costing Rs. 45 crore 43 lakh.

Benefits worth Rs. 41.54 crore distributed: At Antyodaya Mela, Chief Minister Shri Chouhan distributed benefits worth Rs. 41 crore 54 lakh under various welfare schemes. Shri Chouhan also went round an attractive exhibition held by various departments.Minister of State for Forests Shri Jaisingh Marawi, Scheduled Castes Commission Chairman Shri Ramlal Rautel, former MP Shri Dalpat Singh Paraste, Zila Panchayat Chairperson Smt. Chameli Patel and a number of other public representatives were also present on the occasion.
