School Education Department’s web portal adjudged 4th in NIC’s web analytics

Bhopal: The School Education Department’s web portal http://education.mp.gov.in/ has secured the fourth place in web analytics of National Informatics Centre (NIC). Similarly, department’s scholarship portal http://scholarshipportalmp.nic.in/ has been placed eleventh.
It is noteworthy that through this education portal, common people can see transparency in the implementation of school education programmes and all the related information. They can browse information regarding primary, middle and higher secondary students’ lists of district/division level, school-wise lists of teachers, lists of students excellent and weak in studies and locality-wise out of school students and list of children with special requirements.
Special facilities for teachers have also been made available on this web portal including allocation of Unique ID to each teacher, obtaining salary slip, online service book and prompt receipt of directives issued by the government and offices of heads of departments.
Arrangements for display of directives regarding current scholarships, information pertaining to free uniform and cycles for girl students, facility to download application forms for various scholarships/exams and online reading of text-books for various classes have also been made on the portal. Works carried out by the portal have been lauded at the state and national level and have received a number of prestigious awards.
Similarly, scholarship portal of the School Education Department also displays information regarding scholarship schemes, approved list of scholarship cases, district-wise information of all pending and sanctioned applications, facility to download sanction letter of scholarship and information pertaining to scholarships to minority community students.
