SEZ exports growing fast in MP
BHOPAL: Representing all sectors of pharmaceutical, engineering, agro, textiles and information Technology thirteen new units have come up in 2010-11, the DC said.
At present, there are 32 operational units in the zone and 10 new units are under construction, quoting the report he said.
In view of progress and grwoth the SEZ made, Rathore underlined that there was an urgent requirement to prepare master plan of the zone with suitable provision in non-processing areas for business and social infrastructure as envisaged in SEZ scheme, in order to develop the zone as self- sufficient and strong industrial city.
Quality infrastructure and complemented by attractive fiscal packages both at the centre and the state level inputs would further enhance the SEZ’s schemes if given on demand basis, he further stressed.
Indore SEZ is the only operational SEZ in MP and is spread over in area of 1,113 hectares of land.
So far, 153 hectares land has been notified as processing areas in the zone, including 222 hectares land notified in last quarter of the current FY for upcoming entrepreneurs in the zone.
