Sindhi community’s contribution in state’s development unparalleled: CM
Bhopal: Taking forward tradition of respect to all religions, birth anniversary of Lord Jhulelal was celebrated with traditional joy and happiness at CM House here today. Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan extended greetings of Cheti Chand to invited members of Sindhi community. Chief Minister’s wife Smt. Sadhana Singh was also present at the function.
The Chief Minister said that the state government will take initiative of every possible assistance to Sindhi families grappling with problem of relocation. He said that Sindhu Darshan Yatra under Mukhyamantri Tirth-Darshan Yojana will be held in June. He said that he would himself take part in this pilgrimage journey.
Shri Chouhan said that Sindhi community is hard working. Their contribution in development of Madhya Pradesh is unparalleled. Referring to religious gurus and Shaheeds of Sindhi community, he said that country will remain dynamic only through preservation of culture and civilization. Sindhis never forgot their sense of belonging to the community. Mother tongue should not be forgotten. He said that members of Sindhi community should converse with each other in their houses only in Sindhi. He referred to Avtaran of Lord Jhulelal. Shri Chouhan prayed to him to shower blessings on devotees.
Welcome address was delivered by Shri Ashok Rohani. On behalf of the community, he expressed gratitude towards Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan for holding Sindhu Darshan Yatra.
The Chief Minister inaugurated the function by lighting a lamp. He felicitated representatives of various religions with shawls and coconuts. Swami Swaroopanand, Swami Shyamanand and Swami Hansanand presented devotional songs at the programme. Artistes from Mumbai presented programmes focusing on Sindhi culture. Sushri Manjushri presented Sindhi songs. Sindhu Social presented a programme focusing on Beti Bachao Abhiyan.
