State Government increases age-limit for direct recruitment posts

Bhopal: In the larger interests of unemployed persons, the State Government has increased the age-limit for direct recruitment posts from 35 to 40 years permanently. The government has issued orders to this effect today.
As per the new orders, the upper age limit will be 45 years for candidates belonging to scheduled castes, tribes, other backward classes, government servants, employees of corporation/boards, health services, home guards and women.
The increase in the age-limit will not be applicable to the posts of Home (Police), Excise and Jail departments. The upper age-limit in these departments will be as per their recruitment rules. Therefore, benefit of 40 years of age limit will not be given for these posts.
Now, upper age-limit for direct recruitment in government services will be as follows:-
The upper age limit will never be above 45 years in any case while considering all kinds of exemptions. As a result of fixation of this upper age limit, Referencing Circulars vide August 17, 2004 and October 5, 2004 have been cancelled. This upper age-limit will come into forces from the date of issuance of Upper Age-Limit Circular.
