Chief Minister Inaugurates 20th Convocation, Emergency Medical Conference and Awards Ceremony at AIIMS
Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav underscored the critical importance of the medical field in today’s world, advocating for enhanced treatment facilities. He highlighted the noble role of doctors in saving lives and emphasized the need for Madhya Pradesh to become a leader in emergency medicine. Dr. Yadav made these remarks while inaugurating the three-day 20th All India Academic Emergency Medicine Conference, Convocation, and Award Ceremony at the Atal Bihari Vajpayee Auditorium, AIIMS Bhopal. The Chief Minister began the event by lighting the ceremonial lamp. The ceremony was attended by Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Backward Classes and Minorities Welfare Krishna Gaur, Chairman of AIIMS Dr. Sunil Malik, and other distinguished guests, along with a large number of doctors. Ajay Singh, Executive Director of AIIMS, delivered the welcome address, and the event featured the release of a souvenir and an emergency health services document, drawing participants from both India and abroad.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi for revitalized the health sector, noting the extraordinary efforts made in India to provide free corona vaccines and save lives. He expressed confidence that the discussions and idea exchanges at the three-day conference will contribute to significant advancements in emergency medicine.
Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Backward Classes and Minorities Welfare Krishna Gaur stated that the conference at AIIMS Bhopal aims to enhance health services in Madhya Pradesh. She recalled her personal connection with AIIMS and acknowledged the crucial vision of Late Babulal Gaur in its establishment. She highlighted that AIIMS Bhopal has become a significant milestone in the healthcare sector. The conference is expected to advance the latest knowledge and skills in emergency medicine. Smt. Gaur noted that Madhya Pradesh is progressing toward becoming a healthier state, with a 34 percent increase in the health services budget thanks to Chief Minister Dr. Yadav’s efforts, leading to rapid development in medical facilities across the state.
Dr. Sagar C. Galvankar, who came from the United States, said that there is no assurance of life. Only an emergency physician can save lives. Dr. Sunil Malik said that the face of any medical institution is emergency medicine. Preparing good doctors for the country, society and humanity is the need of the hour.
