Teenagers Emerge Heroes as Villagers Lynch Dacoit
Bhopal — Two teenagers tricked and overpowered a dreaded dacoit, who was later lynched by villagers in the Bakswah hamlet of Chhattarpur district in Madhya Pradesh, said media reports.
The incident occurred when dacoit Radhey Patel raided the village with his henchmen and captured a resident, seeking Rs. 50,000 for his release.
He ordered the two teenagers – Ram Kumar (15) and Ram Krishan (16) – to fetch the money from the farmer’s house.
Feigning fear, the two boys fell at the feet of the dacoit to beg for his mercy but all of a sudden grabbed his legs and pinned him to the ground.
Senior police officials have confirmed the incident, saying the two boys will be recommended for a gallantry award.
Poor villagers taking on truant dacoits is the theme of a number of Hollywood and Bollywood movies like Three Amigos and Sholay.
