Three Arrested for Minor Tribal Girl’s Rape, Murder

Bhopal  —  The Madhya Pradesh police have arrested three people accused of raping and murdering a 10-year-old tribal girl at the hill resort town of Pachmarhi in the Hoshangabad district of the state, said officials on Monday.

“The girl was taken to an isolated place in the hills of Pachmarhi and first raped and then murdered by the trio on Nov 19. Her body was found on Nov 20 from a lake,” the police said.

Acting on a tip-off the police arrested the accused late on Sunday.

During interrogation, accused Arun told the police that he took the girl to an isolated place where his friends Rajesh and Rampal raped her before murdering her.
