Three Nabbed for BU Student Rape

Bhopal  — the city police on Monday arrested three people after a 26-year-old student of the Barkatullah University (BU) accused them of raping her on Sunday night.

The issue came to light after the victim sent an SMS to a university official on Monday afternoon, following which the Bagh Sewania police reregistered a case under section 376(G) of the IPC and nabbed the accused.

The incident occurred on Sunday night when one of the accused, known to the victim for some time, took her to a flat and served drinks to the girl. Later the three accused allegedly took turns to rape the inebriated victim.
