Tourist destinations in MP to be further developed
Bhopal :Tourist destinations in Madhya Pradesh will be further developed to spur growth of tourism sector. Every possible effort will be made for it, stated MD of Madhya Pradesh Tourism Development Corporation Hari Ranjan Rao at inaugural function of 2-day annual meet of the corporation at Khajuraho today.
Rao held one-to-one meetings with hotel managers regarding increase in tourism business and elicited their suggestions. He said that the hotel managers not meeting their annual target should do it within time-limit.
Tourism promotion unit
Rao informed that a tourism promotion unit has been constituted in the corporation to implement tourism policy, tourism promotion and development through private investors. The unit is also selecting suitable land for tourism projects, its transfer in the name of department, limitation ands survey etc. Unit’s main work is providing necessary assistance and guidance to investors for establishing projects. Lease agreements are being entered into by the unit for various tourist facilitation centres on the sides of highways.
