Tourists stranded in Mahadev water adjacent to Bhopal, one missing; TI died due to drowning in river in Dewas
Due to the rains in many areas of Madhya Pradesh, the river drains have come in spate. The water level of many rivers including Narmada, Shivna, Kshipra, Tapti, Betwa and Raisen’s Bina has increased. In Tikamgarh, water has been released by opening the gates of the Ban-Sujara dam on the Dhasan river. At the same time, five gates of Satpura dam have to be opened in Betul’s Sarani.
Many tourists got stuck in the Mahadev water falling in Raisen district adjoining Bhopal on Sunday. A tourist is being told missing. TI died due to drowning in stop dam in Dewas district. Three people, including a woman, were washed away at the Dhobi Ghat near the tourist spot Mahadev Pani. Of these, the woman and the man have been saved. While the search for one continues. All three had come from Bhopal to visit Mahadev Pani.
The team of divers and NDRF is involved in the rescue. It is difficult because of the darkness. Raisen Collector Arvind Dubey and SP Vikas Kumar Shahwal are also present on the spot.
About 10,000 tourists had reached Mahadev Pani on Sunday. While returning, due to rain, the drains on the way came in spate. Due to which the tourists got stuck there.
Raisen Collector Arvind Dubey said that due to heavy rains, 3 to 4 feet of water had come on a culvert built on the way to reach Mahadev Pani. This trapped the tourists. The Forest Department and the police team have safely evacuated all the tourists. A 15-year-old boy resident of Bhopal is still missing, his search is on. There is no situation of tourist getting stuck here, everyone is safe.
Heavy rains occurred in many areas including Karond, Bairagarh, Lalghati, Kolar, Chuna Bhatti, Shahpura, Tulsinagar, Bhanpur from 7 pm in Bhopal. Roads were flooded in Shivnagar, Kolar’s Mandakini, Chhola, Ashoka Garden. Between 8:30 in the morning and 7:30 in the evening, there has been 7 mm of rain.

TI Rajaram Vaskale, posted at Nemavar police station in Dewas district, died due to drowning in the river on Sunday. In fact, he had received information about a dead body in the stop dam built on the Jamner river. They tried to rescue him by jumping into the water, but did not succeed.
After that again they tried to remove that dead body. This time he got stuck there. After that, the jawans and villagers present there took them out with the help of rope and took them to the hospital. From where he was referred to Harda District Hospital, where doctors declared him brought dead.
