Governor Mangubhai Patel has said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi is continuously working for the empowerment of women in the country. Women are being empowered socially and economically with his resolution of Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao, Beti Badhao. I have visited all 52 districts of Madhya Pradesh.

Governor Patel said that Bharat Ratna Baba saheb Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar gave an invaluable gift of the Constitution to the country. We have to take Madhya Pradesh forward by following his life sketch.

Chief Minister Chouhan said that Madhya Pradesh government is running according to the ideals of Baba Saheb Dr. Ambedkar. Today, on his 132nd birth anniversary, I bow down to him. We will take the state forward by following the Constitution made by him and the ideals of social justice given by him. The five places of pilgrimage of Bharat Ratna Baba Saheb Dr. Ambedkar will be added to the Mukhyamantri Teerth Darshan Yojana. Dharamshala will be constructed on 3 acres of land in Mhow. Governor Patel and Chief Minister Chouhan today participated in Baba saheb Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar Jayanti celebrations and Ladli Bahna Sammelan at Maheshwar in Khargone district. He also laid the foundation stone of infrastructure development work worth Rs 12 crore 19 lakh 18 thousand at Matmur and upgradation work of 30 bedded Community Health Center Mandleshwar to 50 bedded civil hospital costing Rs 10 crore. Along with this he also distributed benefits of various government schemes. Chief Minister Chouhan announced making Karhi Tappa of Maheshwar tehsil a tehsil, giving Tappa status to Balwada and Kalkoot, upgrading Katargaon sub-health center to primary health center and construction of Kasrawad-Pipalgond road. The programme began with the kanya pujan.

Chief Minister Chouhan said that Maheshwar has a glorious history. Maa Ahilya Bai Holkar renovated various temples and did excellent works of human service. Chouhan announced that Maa Devi Ahilya Mahalok would be built highlighting the glorious history of Maheshwar and the works of Maa Ahilya, so that people could know and emulate her ideals and works.

Chief Minister Chouhan said that Ladli Bahna Yojana has been started for economic empowerment of women. Under the scheme, assistance of Rs 1000 per month to the women of poor and middle class families will start being given from June 10. For this, the annual income of the family should not exceed Rs 2.5 lakh, the family should not have more than 5 acres of land and they should not own any 4 wheeler. The benefit of the scheme will be given to women in the age group of 23 years to 60 years. The amount of old age pension is also being increased to Rs.1000. The Chief Minister instructed the Collector that no woman should be deprived from availing the benefits of the scheme, all forms should be filled and free e-KYC should be done for all. Chief Minister Chouhan said that all liquor vends have been closed in the state. Ethical movement has been launched for de-addiction. He said that for proper implementation of Ladli Bahna Yojana and to remove social evils, Ladli Bahna Sena is being formed in every village.
