VIDEO of fake voting in Bhind’s Ater: BJP complains to the Election Commission
Nearly 12 days after voting in the Madhya Pradesh Assembly elections, CCTV footage of fake voting has surfaced in Ater Assembly constituency of Bhind. This video is said to be from the polling booth of Khadit village of Ater. In the CCTV footage of this booth, it is seen that a man is instructing the female voter to cast her vote. In the following video, the same person himself is seen pressing the button of the EVM (Electronic Voting Machine) instead of another male voter. He is doing this openly in front of the polling officers posted at the polling booth.
It is also visible in the video that there is a crowd of voters inside the polling booth. Some of these people are also sitting on the ground, whereas according to the rules, only one voter can go inside the booth at a time. Let us tell you here that polling booth numbers 11 and 12 were built in the same complex in Khadit village. This CCTV footage is said to be from one of these booths.
On the basis of this CCTV footage which surfaced on Wednesday, BJP has complained of fake voting at these two polling booths. Party leaders have also sent this video to Madhya Pradesh Chief Electoral Officer Anupam Rajan. BJP has demanded that counting should be stopped at these two booths on December 3 and repolling should be done.

Madhya Pradesh BJP’s Election Commission, State Coordinator of Coordination Department, SS Uppal and State In-charge of Judicial and Election Department, Manoj Dwivedi wrote a letter on Wednesday complaining about this.
It is written in the letter, ‘BJP candidate of Ater assembly constituency and Minister of Cooperation and Public Service Management Arvind Bhadauria had complained in this matter on 17th November, the day of voting itself. He had written a letter to you requesting action. Since no action has been taken, a complaint has now been lodged again.

In the video of about one and a half minutes, it is seen that a young man is standing near the woman voter who is pressing the button of the EVM. He gives him some instructions. After this the woman votes and leaves.
After some time, the polling team gives the slip to another voter. Even before that person goes to cast his vote, the same young man goes and presses the EVM button and casts his vote. Then asks the voter to go out. During this time, policemen are also seen present in the polling booth.

BJP has alleged that on the day of voting on November 17, 2023, voting was done by intimidating the voters by a person in polling station numbers 11 and 12. Voting in both these booths should be canceled and repolling should be done.
BJP leaders have also demanded an investigation into the video clip sent along with the complaint to Chief Electoral Officer Anupam Rajan.
