Woman Burnt to Death by Priest for Opposing Molestation Attempts
For opposing attempts of molestation, a woman was blazed to death in Piprodha Chhakkar village of Damoh district by a priest, said media report.
According to a report on Samaylive website, the priest was pestering the woman for last one year. He approached her house last Thursday and tried to outrage her modesty. When she opposed his overtures, the priest reportedly poured kerosene on her and set her on fire in which she suffered server burn injuries.
The woman was hospitalized in Jabalpur Medical College hospital in serious condition where she breathed her last during medication.
On the basis of dying declaration by the victim, the police have registered a case against the priest and are looking for him. The accused is absconding.
