Woman crushed to death by tractor: Two parties quarrel over land dispute in Narmadapuram; four injured

A woman was crushed to death by a tractor in Narmadapuram. The incident took place in Reva Muhari village under Sohagpur police station area. Four people from both the sides were injured in the bloody clash over the land.

Police said that on Saturday, a party had reached Reva Muhari village to work in the field. Meanwhile, people from the other side reached there and started protesting claiming the land as their own. The dispute that started with an argument turned into a fight. During this, the accused group ran over Mayabai Malviya (45) with a tractor. She died on the spot.

SDOP Madan Mohan Samar said that the injured have been referred to the district hospital after first aid at Sohagpur Community Health Center. The case is being investigated.

Three years ago in Narmadapuram, 8 people of a family crushed 3 people to death with a tractor in Aipa village of Seoni Malwa. In May this year, the court convicted the eight and sentenced them to triple life imprisonment. In this case, the complainant woman had lodged the report on 28 November 2020. It was told that his sons Kunarsingh, Rajendra and grandson Ayush were beaten till they fainted by the accused, then crushed to death with a tractor.
