Ashwin’s century on the first day of Chennai Test: Made a partnership of 195 runs with Jadeja, 4 wickets for Hasan Mahmud; India 339/6
On the first day of the first Chennai Test between India and Bangladesh, India scored 339 runs for the loss of 6 wickets. At one point, the team had lost 6 wickets for 144 runs, but from here Ravindra Jadeja and Ravichandran Ashwin made an unbeaten partnership of 195 runs. Ashwin scored a century on home ground, while Jadeja remained not out after scoring 86 runs.
On the first day, Yashasvi Jaiswal scored 56, Rishabh Pant scored 39 and KL Rahul scored 16 runs from India. Rohit Sharma and Virat were dismissed after scoring 6 runs each, while Shubman Gill could not even open the account. Hasan Mahmud took 4 wickets from Bangladesh. Mehdi Hasan Miraz and Nahid Rana got 1-1 success. The second day’s play will start tomorrow at 9:30 am.
