India 6 wickets away from defeating Bangladesh: Stumps called early due to poor light; Bangladesh 158/4, target- 515

Team India is 6 wickets away from victory in the first Test match against Bangladesh in Chennai. Bangladesh team has scored 158 runs for the loss of 4 wickets in their second innings till stumps on the third day of the match on Saturday.

The team is currently 357 runs behind the target of 515 runs. Captain Nazmul Hasan Shanto is not out after scoring 51 runs and Shakib Al Hasan is not out after scoring 5 runs. Ravichandran Ashwin has taken three wickets for India. Jasprit Bumrah has got 1 wicket.

On the third day, the game was reduced by 10 overs due to poor light. During Bangladesh’s innings, the game was halted for a long time and then stumps were called.

Earlier, India declared the second innings at a score of 287 runs for 4 wickets. Shubman Gill (119 not out) and Rishabh Pant (109) scored centuries. This is Gill’s fifth century of Test career and Pant’s sixth century of his career. India had scored 376 runs in the first innings. In response, Bangladesh’s first innings were reduced to 149 runs.
