Pratham Singh hits century in Duleep Trophy 2024: India A 260/2 at lunch on Day 3; India B strong in first innings

Pratham Singh scored a century for India A on Saturday, the third day of the second round of Duleep Trophy 2024. In the match being played in Anantapur, the team has scored 260 runs for 2 wickets in the second innings till lunch. India A has taken a lead of 367 runs against India D. Tilak Verma is unbeaten on 60 and Riyan Parag on 19.

In another match, India C scored 139 runs for 2 wickets in the first innings in reply to India B’s 525 runs. Captain Abhimanyu Easwaran returned unbeaten after scoring 60 runs and Rinku Singh returned unbeaten after scoring 4 runs.

IND A Vs IND D: Pratham’s century India A made a great start in the second innings. Team’s batsman Pratham Singh scored a century in the second innings on the third day. He played an innings of 122 runs in 189 balls. During this he hit 12 fours and a six. Apart from him Tilak Verma is unbeaten after scoring 60 runs. Captain Mayank Agarwal scored 56 runs with the help of 8 fours. Mayank and Pratham added 125 runs for the first wicket.

Earlier, India D won the toss and elected to bowl first against India A. India A scored 290 runs in the first innings. Shams Mulani (89) and Tanush Kotian (53) scored half-centuries for the team. Harshit Rana took 4 wickets for India D. Vidwat Kaverappa and Arshdeep Singh took 2-2 wickets. Saransh Jain and Saurabh Kumar got 1-1 wickets.

In reply to 290 runs, India D was all out for 183 runs. Devdutt Padikkal scored the highest 92 runs for the team. Khaleel Ahmed and Aaqib Khan took 3-3 wickets for India A.

Indian team’s star batsman and India D captain Shreyas was sent to the pavilion by Khalil Ahmed on a score of 0. He came to play wearing glasses inside a helmet. After this, wicketkeeper batsman Sanju got out after scoring 5 runs. In this way, India A got a lead of 107 runs on the basis of the first innings.

IND B vs IND C: Captain Abhimanyu Easwaran is unbeaten after scoring a half century. India B has scored 139 runs after losing two wickets in the first innings against India C. Captain Abhimanyu Easwaran is unbeaten after scoring a half century. Team opener N Jagadeesan scored a half century. He scored 70 runs in 137 balls.

Earlier, India B won the toss against India C and chose to bowl first. India C scored 525 runs in the first innings. Indian wicketkeeper-batsman Ishan Kishan scored a century for the team. He scored 111 runs in 126 balls. Apart from him, Manav Suthar scored 82, Baba Indrajit scored 78 and Rituraj Gaikwad scored 58 runs.

India C tops the points table In the first round of Duleep Trophy, India B defeated India A by 76 runs, while India C defeated India D by 4 wickets. India C and India B are at the top of the points table. Both teams have 6-6 points.

New format of Duleep Trophy Duleep Trophy is being played in a new format from this season. Earlier it was played in zonal format. Now the top players of domestic cricket have been divided into four teams. The tournament will be played in round-robin format without any knockout match. The team that gets the most points at the end of the round-robin matches will be the champion.
