Israel’s biggest airstrike on Lebanon: More than 70 attacks, 1000 Hezbollah rocket barrels destroyed; weapons depot also destroyed

After explosions in pagers, walkie-talkies and then solar energy systems in Lebanon for the last three days, Israel carried out 70 air strikes in southern Lebanon on Thursday night (19 September). According to the Times of Israel, this is Israel’s biggest attack on Lebanon since the Gaza war began.

The Israel Defense Force (IDF) said that they have attacked and destroyed more than 100 Hezbollah rocket launchers in Lebanon. 1000 rocket barrels were destroyed. The IDF said that Hezbollah was preparing to attack Israel with these weapons.

The Israeli army also claimed to have destroyed several buildings of Hezbollah and a weapons depot. Earlier, there were explosions in pagers and walkie-talkies in Lebanon on 17-18 September. In these, 37 people were killed and 2300 people were injured. Lebanon and Hezbollah have blamed Israel for these attacks.

IDF’s advice – Israeli citizens should stay close to bomb shelters. After the attack, the IDF has also issued guidelines for citizens living in North Israel. In this, they have been asked to stay close to bomb shelters. Apart from this, Israeli citizens have been advised not to gather in public places without any need. They have been asked to properly protect every town, area and community.

Hezbollah chief called the serial blasts a declaration of war. The attack on Lebanon started when Hezbollah chief Hassan Nasrallah was giving his first speech after the pager and walkie-talkie blasts. Even after his speech, the Israeli army attacked Hezbollah bases in Lebanon till late at night.

In his speech, Nasrallah expressed grief for the people killed in the blast. The Hezbollah chief said that Israel has crossed all limits with these attacks. This massacre is the beginning of Israel’s war against the people of Lebanon.

Nasrallah threatened Israel and said that it will be severely punished for the attacks that took place in the last two days. If Israeli soldiers enter southern Lebanon, it will be a historic opportunity for Hezbollah to take revenge.

Israeli fighter jets were in the sky of Beirut during Nasrallah’s speech. While Nasrallah was giving this speech, three Israeli fighter jets were flying in the sky of Beirut demonstrating their power. In the past few days, Israeli officials have constantly indicated that their focus is now shifting from Hamas in the Gaza Strip to Hezbollah in Lebanon.

Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Galant also said that they have now reached a new phase of the war. At the same time, after the pager and walkie-talkie explosions in Lebanon, Israel deployed many of its soldiers from Gaza to the border with Lebanon in North Israel.

Amidst the blasts in Lebanon, Hezbollah also carried out 17 airstrikes on northern Israel on Thursday. Hezbollah said that in these attacks they had targeted Israeli military bases and barracks. 2 Israeli soldiers were also killed in the attack.

Is Hezbollah ready for war with Israel? The New York Times quoted experts as saying that the large number of explosions in Hezbollah’s pagers and walkie-talkies have damaged the image of the organization. Hezbollah has so far proved to be the biggest challenge for Israel.

In such a situation, it has become necessary for them to respond to these blasts. However, at present many Hezbollah fighters are injured. In such a situation, if they launch a major attack, there is a danger of a war breaking out with Israel, for which the organization is not ready at the moment.
