Putin warned Western countries of nuclear attack: said- will change nuclear policy, this is necessary to save Russia
Russian President Vladimir Putin has once again threatened the West with the use of nuclear weapons. According to a BBC report, Putin called an urgent meeting of the Security Council in the capital Moscow on Wednesday. In this, he said that the government is going to change the rules and conditions related to the use of nuclear weapons.
Putin said that many new things will be added to the country’s nuclear rules. This also includes the use of nuclear weapons against missile or drone attacks against Russia. Russia can also use nuclear weapons if there is a large-scale missile or drone attack on Russian territory, which can pose a serious threat to the country’s sovereignty.
The Russian President also said that if a non-nuclear country attacks Russia with the support of a nuclear country, it will be considered an attack by both countries. He said that Russia’s nuclear weapons are the biggest guarantee of the security of the country and its citizens.
Putin said- Change in nuclear policy is the need of the hour. Putin’s statement came at a time when Ukraine is seeking permission from Western countries to use long-range missiles in Russia. Putin said that a change in the conditions for the use of nuclear weapons was necessary because the world is changing rapidly.
Ukraine has been given Storm Shadow missiles by Britain and Army Tactical Missile System (ATACMS) missiles by the US. These are long-range deadly missiles, which can accurately hit targets up to about 300 km.
Ukraine can use these missiles only within its own borders, not in Russia. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky wants these sanctions to be lifted so that he can use long-range weapons within Russia.
Zelensky will meet Biden today Ukrainian President Zelensky is currently on a visit to the US. He is scheduled to meet US President Joe Biden on Thursday. During this time he may seek permission to use long-range missiles in Russia.
This is not the first time Putin has threatened the western countries with nuclear war. The Russian President had said on September 12 that if the western countries allow Ukraine to use cruise missiles, it would mean that NATO has gone to war against Russia. He said that if this happens, they will definitely respond to it.
Ukraine has been fighting a war against Russia for two and a half years with the support of the US and Western countries. Ukraine entered Russia in August and captured many of its areas. Russia is trying to liberate its areas.
