Rahul said- I do not hate Modi, I sympathize with him: His 56 inch chest, direct connection with God, all this has become history
Rahul Gandhi, who is on a US tour, said on Tuesday that something has changed after the Lok Sabha elections. Now I am not afraid. The fear is gone. The BJP and Prime Minister Modi spread so much fear, put pressure on agencies on small businessmen, everything disappeared in seconds.
He said, ‘It took them years to spread this fear and in a few seconds everything disappeared. In Parliament, I see the Prime Minister in front of me. I can tell Modi’s ideas, 56-inch chest, direct connection with God, all this is over now, all this has become history now.’
Rahul Gandhi said all these things to the people of the Indian community in Herndon, Virginia. After this, he reached Georgetown University in Washington and participated in the students’ program. The Congress leader is on a 3-day US tour. This is his first foreign tour as the Leader of the Opposition.
Rahul’s 5 big points on BJP’s performance from ending reservation…
1. Now is not the right time to end reservation: Congress will think about ending reservation when the time is right. When you look at the financial figures, tribals get 10 paise out of Rs 100, Dalits get Rs 5 out of Rs 100 and OBCs also get almost the same amount.
Look at the list of business leaders in India. I think one of the top 200 is an OBC, while they are 50% in India, but we are not treating this disease.
2. Caste census is necessary: India’s Dalits, OBCs, Adivasis are not getting their rights. OBCs, Dalits and Adivasis, who constitute 90% of the country’s population, are not even in this game. Caste census is an easy way to know the condition of lower castes, backward castes and Dalits.
Look at the Supreme Court of the country, they have no participation. Look at the media, there are no lower castes, OBCs, Dalits there. Most of us agree with the idea of caste census.
3. We have run coalitions before: Our coalition (INDIA) agrees that the Constitution of India must be protected. India’s business cannot be run by just two people, Adani and Ambani. We have run coalition governments time and again, which have been successful. We are confident that we can do it again. The whole idea of the coalition was to tell people that India is being attacked and it was very successful.
4. If there were fair elections, BJP would not have come close to 246: Before the elections, we kept stressing that institutions have been captured. The education system is captured by the RSS. They have captured the media and investigative agencies. I started putting the Constitution in the forefront.
If the Constitution is destroyed, the whole game will be over. People have understood that this is a fight between those who are protecting the Constitution and those who want to destroy it. I don’t think that if there were fair elections, BJP would have got close to 246.
5. Won’t comment on UCC now: We will comment on the Uniform Civil Code (UCC) only when we know what the BJP’s proposal is. We haven’t seen it. We don’t know what they are talking about. There is no point for us to comment on it. When they bring it, we will see it and comment on it.
Rahul said 3 big things to the Indian community …
- Bank accounts were sealed before the elections: A person from our party’s finance department told us that all our accounts were sealed. We did not have money even for advertising and campaigning. There was no money even for the travel of the leaders. This was my first such experience. The treasurer told me that there was no money. I replied that whatever happens will be seen. We fought the general elections with this spirit.
- BJP does not believe that this country belongs to everyone: BJP does not understand that this country belongs to everyone. India is a union. It is clearly written in the constitution. India is a federal state, which includes different histories, traditions, music and dance. BJP says that this is not a union, it is separate.
- RSS does not understand India: RSS says that some states are inferior to other states. Some languages are inferior to other languages, some religions are inferior to other religions, some communities are inferior to other communities. Every state has its own history, tradition. In RSS ideology, Tamil, Marathi, Bengali, Manipuri are inferior languages. The fight is on this issue. RSS does not understand India.
Rahul Gandhi’s foreign trips in the last 5 years which were controversial…
- May 2022- Rahul Gandhi was on a visit to Britain. He compared the Indian government to the Pakistani government, citing the CBI and ED. The BJP accused Rahul of defaming India by going abroad.
- December 2020- Rahul Gandhi went to Italy to meet his grandmother. Congress Foundation Day is celebrated every year on 28 December. He did not attend it. There was a controversy over this. A few months later, elections were held in Punjab, Goa, Uttarakhand, Manipur and UP. Congress’s performance was not good in this. After this, many Congress leaders linked it to Rahul’s foreign tour. Rahul was accused of cancelling the rally in Punjab to go to Italy.
- December 2019- A big movement was going on in India against CAA. Rahul Gandhi had then gone to South Korea. Many Congress leaders had also raised questions about his visit.
- October 2019- Rahul Gandhi went to Cambodia just 15 days before the elections in Haryana and Maharashtra. BJP said that Rahul Gandhi has gone to Bangkok on a personal tour. At the same time, Congress said that he has gone to Cambodia for meditation.
