18-plus vaccination going on slow pace

Due to inconsistent supply of vaccines by the manufacturers, the vaccination against Covid-19 of persons in the 18-44 age group is proceeding slowly.

According to official figures, as against 36,18,422 registered persons so far in CG Teeka, around 15,000-20,000 are being scheduled for the vaccination each day.

An official press release said 355,033 persons were registered in the CG Teeka on Sunday and vaccination done was for 15,723. Another 22,362 persons have been scheduled for Monday.

For those with Antyodaya, BPL and APL cards as well as frontline workers, the vaccination is being done on a first come first served basis.
