Lucknow: SP chief Akhilesh Yadav jumped over an 8 feet gate and entered JPNIC and garlanded the statue of JP. On JP’s birth anniversary, Akhilesh Yadav wanted to garland the JPNIC centre in Gomtinagar. But LDA did not give permission. Akhilesh Yadav reached JPNIC in a chariot. A large number of workers were present. On JP’s birth anniversary, a conflict had started in the capital Lucknow regarding paying tribute.
SP workers have sat on a dharna at the gate of JP Narayan International Centre. Today is the birth anniversary of Loknayak Jayaprakash Narayan. Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav had to go to pay tribute to him. But he was not allowed to go inside. It is being told that LDA has locked the gate. In protest against this, a large number of SP workers have sat on a dharna. Security has been deployed outside the centre.
SP has alleged that LDA did not allow SP President Akhilesh Yadav to garland the statue. Permission for this was sought by Samajwadi Party. SP National Secretary Rajendra Chaudhary had written a letter to LDA. Akhilesh Yadav was to garland the statue in Jayaprakash Narayan’s birth anniversary program. But citing security reasons, JPNIC gate has been closed.
At present, the deadlock continues. SP workers are present at the gate and are raising slogans. Security personnel have also been deployed on the spot. JP Narayan International Center is located in Vipinkhand, Gomti Nagar.
