Indian culture and ideologies are eternally rich: CM
Bhopal: Indian ideologies and culture have always been rich. When entire world was backward, Vedas were being composed in our country. Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan said this at the inaugural session three- day national symposium on “Indian Nationality : From past to present” at Gwalior today. RSS Sar Sangh Chalak Shri Mohan Bhagwat was the chief guest at the symposium.
At the symposium held under Akhil Bharatiya Itihas-Sankalan Yojna, Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said that our culture has taught peaceful co-existence. According to it, spiritual contemplation is needed more than materialistic contemplation. Referring to Japan, he said that rate of suicides is the highest in the world despite it being one of the richest countries. Therefore, Indian culture and ideologies are necessary for global welfare. Shri Chouhan said that not only great epics have been created in India, but the inherent secrets of nature were also discovered for the first time in India. Scientific discoveries have also proved it.
The Chief Minister said that effective steps have been initiated in Madhya Pradesh to promote Indian culture. Hindi Vishwavidyalaya has been set up to promote the national language where medical and engineering courses will be taught in Hindi. Similarly, yoga education is also being imparted in the state. Shri Chouhan said that Gita, which lays emphasis on deeds, will also be included in syllabus. The Chief Minister said that conclusions of the symposium will be implemented in Madhya Pradesh.
RSS Sar Sangh Chalak Shri Mohan Rao Bhagwat urged people to understand nuances of our history and say with pride that it is necessary for the country’s welfare. Our culture talks about uniting the world on the basis of facts. Our great persons have disseminated these ideologies to next generations effectively. This is the reason why our country is united despite diversities. Shri Bhagwat said that we should be proud of our culture. The nation which does not take pride in its good things, cannot make progress, he added.
At the inaugural session, national president of Akhil Bharatiya Itihas-Sankalan Yojna and historian Prof. Shivaji Singh and executive president Prof. Satish Chandra Mittal also expressed their views. Books focusing on Indian culture were also released.
