Jaish-e-Mohammad (JeM) chief Masood Azhar had addressed cadres of the terror outfit and claimed that “Pakistan is not complete without Kashmir” days before a suicide bomber, linked with the outfit, drove an explosives-laden vehicle into a CRPF convoy in Pulwama, Jammu and Kashmir, and killed 40 troopers, according to investigators.

Interestingly, Pakistan Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi had last week said Islamabad will examine the dossier with an “open heart”. The dossier also detailed the presence of JeM terror camps in Pakistan. India handed over the dossier to the Acting High Commissioner of Pakistan on February 27.
“Recently, Masood Azhar had launched a campaign titled ‘Infaq Fi Sabilullah’ (Donating in the way of Allah) and invited the Ummah to donate money for jihad conducted in the way of Allah and in various fields of religion. This would purify money and make life beautiful,” the dossier stated.
Indian Air Force fighter jets on February 26 launched a major offensive against terrorist organisations using Pakistani soil to carry out terror attacks in Jammu and Kashmir and annihilated training camps of the Jaish-e-Mohammed in Balakot that falls in the Khyber- Pakhtunkhwa region, along with Muzaffarabad and Chakothi in Pakistan-occupies-Kashmir. The terror group is responsible for the dastardly terror attack in Jammu and Kashmir’s Pulwama on February 14 where 40 CRPF personnel were killed.
The IAF attack was carried out by 12 Mirage 2000 fighter jets, ably aided by Sukhoi jets that provided cover throughout the operation, around 3:30 am. The payload dropped by the Indian Air Force weighed as much as 1000 kilogrammes.
The very next morning, Pakistan Air Force jets entered Indian airspace from Nowshera sector but were immediately sent back by IAF jets on February 27.
