Bhopal: An Arts and Culture Capital

Bhopal, city of Nawabs and also of lakes, is a unique fusion of the age-old Indian culture and the modern day thinking. The city has various monuments, mosques, temples on one hand and modern institutions like Bharat Bhawan on the other.

Bharat Bhawan has of late emerged as the center of arts and ironworksculture,not just of the town of the entire state. The institute, in addition to preserving cultural heritage, works for promotion and modernization of various forms of arts.
The city has many museums, including the State Museum, auditoriums and has been a land of Urdu poets or Shayars. Bhopal, the nursery of hockey, has also emerged as a developing center of other sports activities as Cricket, water sports etc.
