Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav emphasized that under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership, substantial efforts are being made both nationally and in Madhya Pradesh to advance women’s empowerment. He noted that women now enjoy 50 percent reservation in local body elections, with a further 33 percent reservation in the Lok Sabha and Vidhan Sabha, as decided by Prime Minister Modi. On Saturday, from Vijaypur in Sheopur district. Dr. Yadav seamlessly transferred Rs 1,897 crore to the accounts of 1.29 crore Ladli Behana across the state. This amount includes a special Rs 250 gift from the Chief Minister to his “beloved sisters” for Raksha Bandhan, alongside the Rs 1,250 provided through the Ladli Bahana Yojana. Additionally, Rs 52 crore in grants was allocated under the Ujjwala scheme, and Rs 10,300 crore in loans was distributed to women in Self Help Groups for various self-employment ventures. These initiatives are empowering women to set new records and achieve self-reliance through diverse product manufacturing. Today, Vijaypur hosted a grand assembly of women, dubbed the ‘Kumbh of Sisters,’ with celebrations occurring simultaneously at 25 thousand locations across the state. The large turnout at the conference serves as a powerful testament to the success of these empowerment efforts.
Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav addressed the Self-Help Group Conference and Raksha Bandhan program in Vijaypur, Sheopur district, on Saturday. During the event, he performed the bhoomi-pujan and inaugurated 158 projects valued at Rs 344 crore. Additionally, various benefits under schemes were distributed to women. He also announced that Virpur and Karahal tehsils in Sheopur district will be upgraded to Nagar Panchayats and introduced several initiatives for the development of the area.
Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav expressed that mothers and sisters are the pride, joy, and dignity of every home. He emphasized the unique bond of Rakhi, describing it as the most profound of all relationships. Referring to Raksha Bandhan, he highlighted the special joy comes from celebrating it together. CM Dr Yadav said that today, the entire state of Madhya Pradesh is united in this celebration, it will be as if the entire state of Madhya Pradesh is adorned with a tilak, symbolizing honor and pride. This, he said, will elevate the spirit of the state with immense pride. Dr. Yadav also highlighted the nationwide “Har Ghar Tiranga” campaign, led by Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, encouraging everyone to participate and show their patriotism.
Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav stated that under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Modi, both the country and Madhya Pradesh are progressing rapidly. He pointed out that the state’s budget, which was once just 20,000 crores, has now grown to 3.5 lakh crores, and in the next five years, it is expected to reach 7 lakh crores.
Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav said that the Nadi Jodo Abhiyan, a campaign to link the Chambal, Kalisindh, and Parvati rivers, is underway in the region. This initiative will ensure a reliable supply of irrigation water, electricity, and water resources to the area. He announced that Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh will soon jointly perform the bhoomi-pujan for new projects worth 70,000 crores. He urged the farmers of the region to safeguard their agricultural land, as the area is poised to surpass Punjab and Haryana in agricultural production in the coming years. Additionally, milk production and animal husbandry are being actively promoted in the state, with the government now offering bonuses on milk production.
Vidhan Sabha Speaker Shri Narendra Singh Tomar stated that under the leadership of Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav, the state is progressing rapidly. He highlighted that the Vijaypur region, known for its rich forest wealth, has for the first time been represented by a cabinet minister. With the major development announcements made by Chief Minister Dr. Yadav, the region is now set to experience even faster growth.
Panchayat and Rural Development Minister Shri Prahlad Patel said that a large number of sisters from self-help groups have joined the Raksha Bandhan program along with their brothers and sisters here today. I greet and salute all the sisters. Self-help group sisters in Madhya Pradesh have done a unique work. There are more than 5 lakh self-help groups in 49 thousand villages of the state, to which about 62 lakh families are associated.
Forest and Environment Minister Shri Ramniwas Rawat praised CM Dr. Mohan Yadav for making several key announcements aimed at the region’s development. He highlighted the ongoing campaign in the state for cow protection and conservation, noting that the Karahal area is renowned for its Gir cows. The Chief Minister has introduced grant-in-aid for milk producers and announced a plan to provide grants to individuals who raise more than ten cows, similar to the support given to Cow-Sheds.
