Indores surrounding area to be transformed into a Metropolitan city : CM Dr. Yadav
Indore is known for education, medicine, its ancient glory, trade and business. What the world calls Kabuli Chana is Indori Chana. Our Chana is being exported to more than 60 countries of the world, which is a matter of pride. Our government’s vision is to get better prices for gram and strengthen the economy. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav attended the first annual conference of Kabuli Chana Traders Association in Indore today. Water Resources Minister Shri Tulsiram Silavat, MP Shri Shankar Lalwani, MLA Shri Golu Shukla, Shri Gaurav Ranadive, Shri Sanjay Aggarwal and officials of the association and a large number of members were present in the program.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav mentioned that the issue of the stock limit on Kabuli Chana was brought to their attention by the association, and it was promptly resolved. He emphasized the state government’s strong commitment to increasing farmers’ income. Unlike wheat, gram crops require less irrigation and yield higher production, making them a priority for promotion in Madhya Pradesh. The removal of the stock limit on Kabuli Chana will benefit both farmers and traders, a decision also supported by the Central Government. Additionally, Dr. Yadav announced that the government is planning to celebrate Krishna Janmashtami with great enthusiasm, with Krishna Janamotsav events being organized across the state.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav emphasized that Indore and Ujjain share a close connection, and he expressed confidence in the bright future of Madhya Pradesh from a commercial and business perspective. He announced plans to merge Indore, Ujjain, Dewas, and parts of Dhar district into a metropolitan city. Dr. Yadav highlighted the success of the Industry Conclave organized by the state government in Coimbatore and Bengaluru, which has opened new avenues for investment in Madhya Pradesh. He pointed out the significant potential for food processing units in the state and assured that the government is making special efforts to establish new industries in this sector. He also encouraged the youth to take the initiative in setting up food processing units.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that the state government is committed to providing all possible assistance to traders and solving their problems. For India to become a superpower, the collective participation of all is a must. He said that special efforts are being made to encourage new business doors and investment in the state.

In their welcome address, Shri Anup Mangija and Shri Rajul Sarda of Kabuli Chana Association told about the progress and problems of the association. Shri Naveen Garg proposed the vote of thanks. A large number of association officials and members from across the country attended the conference.
