Aamir Khan, Amitabh Bachchan and Bhumi Pednekar: Bollywood celebrities send choicest wishes on Gudi Padwa 2019
Gudi Padwa, a special day for Maharashtrians across the country, is finally here. The spring-time festival that marks the traditional new year falls on the first day of the Chaitra month and according to the lunisolar Hindu calendar, marks the beginning of a new year. But as people across India gear up to celebrate the day of joy and new beginnings, the Bollywood celebrities are sending out their choicest wishes to their fans, followers and admirers on this special occasion.
Amitabh Bachchan, who was last seen in Badla alongside Taapsee Pannu and will next star in Ayan Mukerji’s Brahmastra, co-starring Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor, took to social media to wish his fans. Along with colourful graphics for the auspicious occasion, Big B wrote, “Happy Gudi Padwa greetings .. greetings too for Chaitr – Shukl , for the Navratre to follow .. for the beginning of a new year as per our ancient Calendar !”
Not just Gudi Padwa, Big B also sent out wishes for Ugadi, Chaitra Navratri, Cheti Chand, Bihu and Navreh and wrote, “Greetings and festivities of all for all: the fabric of our diversity, our great nation.”
With an adorable message for his fans, Aamir Khan shared a beautiful photograph with his wife Kiran Rao. In the photo, both Aamir and Kiran seem to be deeply engrossed in the traditional Puja ceremony.
The ever-graceful Madhuri Dixit, who awaits the release of her next film Kalank, co-starring Alia Bhatt, Varun Dhawan, Aditya Roy Kapur, Sonakshi Sinha and Sanjay Dutt, put up a photograph wherein the actor had made a colourful Rangoli next to the deity idols.
Bhumi Pednekar, who will be seen in Dolly Kitty Aur Woh Chamakte Sitare, Saand Ki Aankh, Pati Patni Aur Woh and Takht among others, dressed in a traditional green and red silk sari and posted a wish for her fans.
Bollywood actor Renuka Shahane, too, opted for a graceful silk sari and completed her look with a traditional touch. She posted a selfie to wish her fans the best on the joyous occasion.
