Akash Ambani weds Shloka Mehta in Mumbai

Mumbai: Reliance Industries Ltd chairman Mukesh Ambani and Nita Ambani’s son Akash Ambani tied the knot with his childhood sweetheart Shloka Mehta on Saturday. Shloka is the daughter of diamantaire Russell Mehta and Mona Mehta. The couple got engaged last year after Akash proposed to Shloka in March in Goa.
Akash and Mehta were friends for almost a decade before dating each other. They became friends while studying at the renowned Dhirubhai Ambani International School in Mumbai.
The wedding will, reportedly, be a three-day affair in Mumbai. The wedding ceremony was held at the Jio World Centre in Bandra Kurla Complex, Mumbai. Shah Rukh Khan, Aamir Khan, Ranbir Kapoor, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Rajkumar Hirani, Tony Blair, Ban Ki-moon, Sachin Tendulkar and Hardik Pandya among others were present at the wedding.
On March 10, a mangal parv will be hosted at the same venue. Following the event, Akash and Shloka’s families will host a grand wedding reception on March 11.
