Alia Bhatt, Madhuri Dixit spill magic in first track
It won’t be wrong to say that Abhishek Varman’s upcoming directorial, Kalank has created immense anticipation among the audience owing to its stellar star cast and gripping storyline. The period drama which has been produced by Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions features Alia Bhatt, Varun Dhawan, Sanjay Dutt, Madhuri Dixit, Sonakshi Sinha and Aditya Roy Kapur in lead roles. Recently, the first song from the movie was dropped online.
Titled Ghar More Pardesiya, the track has been written by Amitabh Bhattacharya, composed by Pritam and crooned by Shreya Ghoshal with Vaishali Mhade. It shows an epic jugalbandi between Madhuri and Alia. It is set against the background of the Ramayan festival and also features Varun.
Earlier, sharing a still of herself from the song, Alia had written, “A song that gave me sleepless nights, days & months is coming very very soon.. I think you can safely say that I have never been SO nervous for anything in my life.. *screams frantically and hides under bed* You may have to send a search party to find me.”
In the movie, Alia will be portraying Roop, a girl who is full of life and has a heart of gold and Varun will be playing Zafar, who flirts with life and danger. Madhuri, on the other hand, will be seen as the enchanting, ethereal and timeless Bahaar Begum.
Meanwhile, Aditya will be seen as a man who defines nobility, Dev Chaudhry and Sanjay will be essaying the role of Balraj Chaudhry, the most powerful voice of the table and he is formidable. Sonakshi, on the other hand, will play Satya Chaudhary, the one who holds the family together.
Kalank which was scheduled to release on April 19 will now hit the screens two days earlier i.e. on April 17.
