Bharat song Aithey Aa featuring Salman Khan, Katrina Kaif is a reversed version of Didi Tera Devar Deewana
After wooing the audience with their sizzling on-screen chemistry in films like Maine Pyaar Kyun Kiya?, Ek Tha Tiger and Tiger Zinda Hai, Bollywood actors Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif are all set to impress the fans once again with their upcoming movie, Bharat. Helmed by Ali Abbas Zafar, the film is based on the South Korean drama, Ode To My Father. A few days ago, Bharat’s romantic number, Chashni was dropped online and now, we have learnt that the flick will also have a peppy wedding number.
Titled Aithey Aa, the celebratory track set in the 1980s. It has been composed by Vishal-Shekhar, crooned by Akasa Singh, Neeti Mohan and Kamaal Khan, and choreographed by Vaibhavi Merchant.
Talking about the song Ali Abbas Zafar told Mumbai Mirror, “Usually, in such a set-up in Hindi films, you see the boy teasing the girl, but because Katrina’s character (Kumud, also known as Madam Sir) here is as strong as Salman’s (the titular Bharat), the whole song was written from the point of view of women teasing the men.”
Describing the feel of the song, Ali added, “Just imagine, if Didi Tera Devar Deewana was reversed with Madhuri (Dixit) and Salman switching places… that’s what our song is. The brief was to create a peppy dance number with the entire family shaking a leg.”
The report further stated that Aithey Aa was shot in Mumbai in January on a massive set with over 100 background dancers. Meanwhile, Salman and Katrina’s love ballad, Chashni has become the audience’s favourite. Check out its video below.
Apart from Katrina and Salman, Bharat also features Disha Patani, Tabu, Nora Faethi and Sunil Grover in vital roles. The movie is being co-produced by Salman’s brother-in-law Atul Agnihotri under the banner Reel Life Productions.
Interestingly, actor Varun Dhawan will be seen doing a cameo in the film. Bharat will trace the history of India from the perspective of an ordinary man, so it shows the journey of the film’s protagonist, Bharat, from the age of 18 to 70.
