Deepika Padukone gives a sneak-peek into her homework for Meghna Gulzar’s Chhapaak
Goes without saying, Chhapaak is going to be one of the most challenging films for Deepika Padukone considering she plays an acid attack survior, based on the life of Laxmi Agarwal whose story for all that you know is not only inspiring but equally heart-wrenching. And then of course, Deepika’s physical transformation for the role that’s something that not every actress would have willingly agreed to take up. In fact, most of us are still not over the first look of Deepika that had released last week. So with such a demanding story, Deepika obviously needs to push herself to essay the role with much conviction and guess she’s already on the go, enjoying the process of it.
As Deepika took up to Instagram this morning, she shared a pic of the script of Chhapaak placed with a pencil, scale, eraser and marker and captioned it saying, “The only kinda homework I’ve ever enjoyed’ which only proves how thrilled she is to begin her Chhapaak journey. Not to forget, Deepika is also making her debut as a producer with Chhapaak which again comes with an added responsibility. As per a statement, Deepika bankrolled her debut production venture in order to put across a brave and independent female character for she believes that her story needs to be told. It’s a story of undying human spirit, courage and self love.
