Throwback: When Alia Bhatt revealed she wanted ‘two boys’ with Ranbir Kapoor

Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor took their fans by surprise on Monday after the former announced that they are all set to welcome their first child together.

As congratulatory wishes poured in for the couple from all corners of the country, fans noted how Alia had once shared that she wants to have two kids with Ranbir.

In 2018, Alia had reportedly said in an interview that she had been thinking of baby names and that she found them attractive.

“I don’t know if it’s just because I’ve turned 25, but of late, I’ve started thinking of baby names. I’m a baby myself but for some reason baby names seem attractive to me,” she had said.

The following year, while answering to a question about having children, Alia had revealed that she wanted ‘two boys’.

Meanwhile, Ranbir too recently spoke about how he wishes to have a family with Alia and that he wants to work hard for them and get them a life they deserve.

Alia and Ranbir got married in a hush-hush ceremony on April 14 this year at the latter’s residence. Their wedding was attended by their closest friends and family members.

The two fell in love on the sets of ‘Brahmastra’ and dated for five years before tying the knot.

On the film front, ‘Brahmastra’ will be the first film in which Ranbir and Alia have been paired opposite each other. The film will hit the theatres on September 9.

Ranbir is also awaiting the release of his film ‘Shamshera’, which will be out on July 22.

On the other hand, Alia has Karan Johar’s ‘Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani’, ‘Darlings’, and ‘Jee Le Zaraa’ in the pipeline. She is currently shooting for her international film debut ‘Heart of Stone’.
