China Hacks Secret Indian Files
Chinese hackers have reportedly broken into top secret files of the Indian Defence Ministry and embassies around the world, thus getting access to information about major Indian missiles and armament system, reported PTI.
According to report, the systems that Chinese would have hacked could be Shakti, the recently introduced advanced artillery combat and control system of the Indian Army and the country’s new mobile missile defence system called the Iron Dome.
In a new report known as ‘Shadow in the Clouds’, Canadian and American researchers based at the University of Toronto said that a spy operation called ‘Shadow Network’ based out of China hacked top secret files belonging to the Indian government, report said.
The report claimed that Chinese conducted investigation over a period of eight months, report said.
It further claimed that systematic cyber spying, which was carried out from servers located in China, ‘compromised’ government, business, academic and other computer network systems in India, said report.
