CM Yadav Attends Top Anti-Naxal Grouping

Left wing extremism nearing conclusion, said Union Minister for Home, Amit Shah

Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav attended a high-level review meeting of Chief Ministers from Left-Wing Extremism (LWE)-affected states on Monday at Vigyan Bhawan in New Delhi.

The meeting, chaired by Union Home Minister Amit Shah, included senior officials such as Chief Secretary Anurag Jain and Director General of Police Sudhir Saxena.

During the meeting, Shah emphasized that the fight against LWE is nearing its conclusion, with a commitment to eliminate the threat by March 26 next year. He stressed the importance of reaching all individuals in the affected areas to ensure comprehensive development.

CM Yadav expressed confidence that coordinated efforts between the central and state governments would significantly bolster the campaign to eradicate Naxalism and LWE in the impacted regions.

Shah led discussions on key security issues, including launching intensive campaigns, thoroughly investigating violent incidents, improving coordination between state and central agencies, and enhancing intelligence capabilities.

In addition to security, the meeting focused on developmental matters. Chief Ministers from Chhattisgarh, Maharashtra, Odisha, and Telangana attended the meeting.
