Encounter in Kulgam, Kashmir, 5 security personnel injured: 4 army personnel, one ASP among them; 2-3 terrorists suspected to be hiding

An encounter is going on between security forces and terrorists in Adigam Devsar area of ​​Kulgam in Kashmir since Saturday morning. Four army soldiers and Kulgam ASP have been injured. All five have been shifted to Srinagar for treatment. It is feared that two-three terrorists are hiding here.

Kashmir Zone Police had informed about the encounter through a post on Saturday morning at 7:05 am. It was told that the police and the army had conducted a search operation in Adigam under a joint operation. During this, the terrorists opened fire on them, after which the encounter started.

The security personnel injured in the Kulgam encounter have been admitted to 92 Base Hospital Srinagar for treatment. The injured have been identified as ASP Mumtaz Ali Bhatti, Sepoy Mohan Sharma, Sepoy Sohan Kumar, Sepoy Yoginder and Mohammad Isran.

6 Jaish-e-Mohammed associates arrested in Pulwama On the other hand, the police exposed a terror module in Awantipora, Pulwama on Friday, 27 September. The police arrested 6 terrorist associates of Jaish-e-Mohammed. They used to train youths in terrorism. 5 IEDs, 30 detonators, 17 IED batteries, 2 pistols, 3 magazines, 25 rounds, 4 hand grenades and 20 thousand cash have been recovered from them.

There was a conspiracy to carry out attacks with the help of youth Police said that they had received information that a Pakistan-based Kashmiri terrorist of Jaish-e-Mohammed was looking for youths who could be brainwashed. Investigation revealed that the terrorist identified several youths with the help of an over ground worker in jail who were motivated to join terrorism in Tral area of ​​​​Awantipora.

According to the police, the terrorist handler from Pakistan had selected some places to plant IEDs with the help of these youths. The handler had also given money to those youths to make IEDs so that they could bring the material for it.

The youth were also given pistols, grenades, IEDs. The youth were instructed to carry out terrorist activities like target killing, throwing grenades on security forces, public places, non-Kashmiri labourers and IED blasts.

Earlier on August 12, the Army and Jammu and Kashmir Police had caught a shepherd module, which had 9 members. These people used to live in Dhonk (mud huts) in high mountain areas. These people used to train the terrorists infiltrating from Samba and Kathua border to stay and eat in Dhonk and hide in the mountains and forests.
