85% fully vaccinated against Covid-19

As many as 1,75,64,560 people above the age of 18, or 85 percent of the eligible population, have been fully vaccinated against Covid-19 in Chhattisgarh, it was announced on Monday.

As on Sunday, 47 percent of those in the 15-18 age group had received both the doses while precautionary doses have been given to 4,29,256 health workers, frontline staff and people above 60 years of age.

Also, 2,09,525 children aged between 12 and 14 years have got the first dose of the vaccine, an official statement said.

“The first dose has been administered to 100 percent of the population above 18 years and 69 percent of children in the 15-18 segment. A total of 1,98,24,199 citizens above 18 years and 11,29,288 children in the 15 to 18 age group have received their first dose. A total of 7,77,774 children in the 15-18 segment have got both doses,” it added.

It said 3,91,56,828 doses have been administered so far across Chhattisgarh.
