Appeal to cooperate for cleanliness and purity of Narmada: CM
Bhopal: Vidhan Sabha Speaker Dr. Sitasaran Sharma and Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan along with his wife Smt. Sadhana Singh performed Puja and Abhishek of Maa Narmada with religious rites on Narmada Jayanti Mahotsav at Hoshangabad today. The Chief Minister announced grant of Rs. 4 crore 20 lakh for development of Hoshangabad district. He said that water treatment plants will be established in all cities on the banks of Narmada by year 2018.
Vidhan Sabha Speaker Dr. Sharma stressed the need for survey of ghats on Narmada banks and maintain them.
The Chief Minister urged people to cooperate in efforts for ensuring cleanliness and purity of Narmada. He urged them neither to release filthy water nor polythene bags in Narmada river. He said that 5 thousand houses costing Rs. 250 crore will be constructed in Hoshangabad district. He announced Rs. 100 crore for improving sewage system, Rs. 62 crore for water augmentation, Rs. 85 lakh for garbage vehicles, Rs. one crore for construction of vegetable market and Rs. 25 lakh for development of Ramghat. The Chief Minister administered pledge to people for not littering garbage in and around their houses.
The Chief Minister along with his wife performed Puja of Maa Narmada with religious rites. He performed Kanya Poojan and announced Rs. 5 thousand each for 35 girls. He made Deepadan of 1100 lamps after Maha Aarti of Maa Narmada.

CM Performs Narmada Pujan at Budhni
The Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan and his wife Smt. Sadhna Singh performed Narmada Pujan at Budhni today. He announced Rs. 79.59 crore for sewage plant and houses for the poor on the occasion.
