Baghel effects minor administrative reshuffle
nGovernment of Chhattisgarh on Wednesday conducted a minor administrative reshuffle of IAS officers just before the counting of votes for Lok Sabha elections to be held on May 23.
Dr Kamalpreet Singh, an IAS officer of the 2002 batch presently holding the post of finance secretary, apart from several additional charges, has been given charge of secretary, food, civil Supplies and consumer protection department, and additional charge of secretary, general administration department. Singh was also holding additional charges of secretary, pension resolution committee, secretary general administration, secretary commercial tax (excise), and commissioner excise, managing director, Chhattisgarh State Beverages Corporation and managing director, Chhattisgarh State Marketing Corporation.
Shahla Nigar, an IAS officer of 2001 batch, who was on a long leave, has been given the charge as secretary, finance and secretary, pension resolution committee on her joining the office.
Niranjan Das, an IAS officer of 2003 batch, presently holding the post of managing director, Chhattisgarh State Civil Supplies Corporation apart from his present charges will also hold the post of secretary commercial tax (excise), and commissioner excise and managing director, Chhattisgarh State Beverages Corporation.
Similarly, A. P. Tripathi, presently holding the post of special secretary, commercial tax (excise) and joint managing director, Chhattisgarh State Marketing Corporation will handle additional charge of managing director, Chhattisgarh State Marketing Corporation along with his present responsibilities. As per information, after principal secretary Richa Sharma has gone on deputation to New Delhi, no new postings was done in food department.
